They claim that earth was past saving and that humanity couldn’t be trusted with the technology, but I never quite believed their arguments. The Outwarder’s argument needed to be given more strength. Going to start by saying I thought the narrative work was superb. We all know someone like that and the most infuriating part is that they think they're totally right and good. I guess it's one of those "Umbridge" situations. You deserve whatever is coming to you.Īnyway, as I said, I really did love the game, but Isaac just made me mad. Even during the ending, he's still only talking about "they'll put me in jail and we'll be apart again." Yeah, dude, you scammed the entire planet and then caused the Blackout and left everyone to die. At times it felt like they were trying to humanize him but I feel exactly no sympathy and would have been very happy if Sarah had gotten to kill him. They had a throwaway line about it but there was never a resolution there.

But even so, at no point does Isaac ever ask about Claire. She's young and inexperienced and when she learns the truth she does the right thing. And even his feelings toward Kathy are just because she's the thing that let's him be a "good dad." Side note: I don't exactly love that Kathy was willing to risk everything for him but I get it. He literally admits not caring about Claire at all. The biggest one for me though, is that he has two children and only cares for one of them. Then he makes his utopia with the survivors. He finally kills William only after William kills everyone who was fighting. He doesn't stand up to William while sympathizing with Rosa. He stabbed Sarah so that he could take Kathy on the third ARK. The Lunar project was never meant to help the earth.

Everything that comes out about him is awful. Anytime there is a hard choice, he will do whatever benefits himself and only himself. Main point: Isaac Johansen is a complete selfish coward with no redeeming qualities who literally never makes the right decision. After going through this, I have thoughts I wanted to share and see what others thought. I would definitely play another for sure.
